Hey, guys! I hope this post finds you well. I bet so many of y’all are excited that football has finally arrived!

I wanted to give you all a life update in our new season in life; marriage + football. Our wedding came + went (so fast) + now we’re here in Philly for football season. Jordan is going into his third season–crazy, huh? Time seriously just flies + I’ve learned to enjoy every bit of it as life is constantly throwing new things at us. While Jordan was at camp, which was about 4 weeks or so, I kept myself busy trying to get our new place settled in before the season officially starts. We’re renting a cute townhome right outside of the city–which has been so great. I love walking the dogs through these streets that are made of brick roads because there’s just so much history here. Thankfully our 3 babies are adjusting well to their new city. This new season in life has been pretty great + being married makes it that much more special.

We’re officially 2 months in + are experiencing so many ‘first’s’ as a newlywed couple. Learning, growing, + adjusting–I love every bit of it! Also, changing my last name has been quite a journey as I’m having to do everything here in Philly (+ I forgot our marriage license in Austin–thank you, mom, for sending it). While on our honeymoon, I met a girl who recently got married + told me changing her last name was so easy. She recommended HitchSwitch which has been such a blessing because they send you all the paperwork, postage, + envelopes you need in order to make the process easy + seamless. Definitely, recommend it for any of my girls that will be changing their last name soon.

While we miss our friends + family in Austin, we are so grateful to be in a place where we’re surrounded by the best of friends. Seriously, I don’t know what we would do without our community! As Jordan has been away crazy busy with football, as are all the guys out here, it definitely can get lonely. I have found my peace by hanging with other wives + significant others + their kids. Whether it be weekday dinners, church outings, or community service I am so thankful for my community. All my football, or athlete, girls know how hectic it is being away from family, so I highly recommend finding that community that will be your saving grace. We are starting up our couples weekly bible study next week, as well as our women’s bible study. Although it may not seem like a lot, these weekly meetings help me so much + definitely helps our relationship. There is always something we can grow + improve on. We love our football family, our family away from home. ❤️ In our women’s bible study group, we will be reading Matt Chandler’s ‘To Live Is Christ, To Die Is Gain’ book that is great for both men + women. If you’re looking to start a new reading, I highly suggest this book–you can buy it here.

Jordan has been home from camp for about a week now + we’ve been trying our best to finish up the house when he’s free. I’m currently surrounded by boxes, piles of clothes, + things we need to put away as we speak. It’s not easy getting a home together quickly, but we’re hoping to make it as homey as possible while on a budget since we just bought + furnished our home in Austin. I’ll link a few of our go-to stores below where you can find great, affordable pieces. Anyway, our season starts next Sunday, the 10th, so please pray for a prosperous, injury-free season for all the guys playing this crazy, yet fun sport they love. #flyeaglesfly
