Date Night Hair
Jordan + I had an amazing date night last night at one of our favorite restaurants here in Philly called Talula’s Garden.

Happy Saturday ❤️
What is everyone doing this weekend? The weather here has been AMAZING + it’s starting to feel a lot like fall. Of course, I already had my first PSL (pumpkin spice latte) + am ready to buy ‘leaves’ candles from Bath + Body Works to get the house smelling good. I am looking forward to watching our first season game against the Redskins tomorrow–it’s an away game, so I’ll be on our comfy couch watching Jordan + the guys go to work.
Anywho, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my hair lately, so I thought I’d add a quick recap of how I styled it last night for our date night including the products I used–I promise I’ll do a blog post in more detail soon. I recently got my hands on Kristin Ess hair products that are sold exclusively at Target. Kristin Ess is a celebrity hairstylist who is best known for styling Lauren Conrad + Lucy Hale’s hair. Y’all, these products smell heavenly! Not only do they smell good, but they’re so affordable, which I love. I’m all for finding great products at a reasonable price! She has a whole collection for the shower, wet styling, dry styling, + for restoration. What I most love about her line is that they are cruelty-free. Her shampoo + conditioner are also sulfate free making them safe for colored hair. Also, did I mention how cute these bottles are? I’ll link them in the widget below if y’all want to try them out 🙂
Okay–let’s get to the hair!
So, I started with a good ole’ shower + used the Kristin Ess ‘reconstructive moisture mask‘ for extra moisture–use this once a week. I almost always let my hair air dry unless I’m running short on time. Let’s be real, I usually let it air dry because I don’t have anywhere to go lol so I usually have a lot of time to spare–throughout the week my hair is usually up in a messy bun. After I get out of the shower + brush my hair, I use the Keratin Complex ‘glotion potion’ serum. I use 2 pumps, or so, + run it through my hair with my fingers for that soft, shiny end look. Kristen Ess has this leave-in conditioner that I sprayed through my hair while it was damp. Once my hair was dry, I sprayed some Keratin Complex ‘Thermo-Shine’ into my palm + worked it from the top to my ends to help protect it from heat. I then curled it with my Croc straightener–I go back + forth between using this straightener + my T3 wands. I absolutely love these wands! A little pricey but so worth it for the sake of your hair. After I finished curling it, I ran my fingers through it to break up the curls + then used this amazing ‘Dry Finish Working Texture Spray.’
